In the Attic
Cabin is modeled on one of my childhood homes; my primarily residency until the age of five. In the 8 years leading up to my birth, it was the second home my parents build from scratch, even cutting their own timbers. After my parents’ divorced, surrounded by the evidence of their relationship, but only witnessing conflict, I became fascinated by how quickly and violently relationships can change and fall apart. I hand carved twigs and stitched them together using sewing thread in two colors; each one representing one of my parents’ hands.
