Physical Statement, 2017In 2017, I turned a small room in my graduate studio into a physical visual statement consisting of old works, tests, unfinished fragments, and keywords. I then connected each piece to their associating words with thread. Each of the three walls stood for a key area in my work, Natural, Personal, Cultural. This formed the bedrock of my work since. While in graduate school I would sit in the room while brainstorming, using it to build-out my thesis and future projects.
